First of many
The first ever wire sculpture
created by Edward Netley. Made
from coat hangers and inspired
by a Dale's Stallion that we used
to drive as the family transport.
An apple, the wire used in this
instance is a form of welding rod.
Apples are a great shape for
learning the basic manipulation of
European Swallow; this petite
sculpture proved that birds formed
well using wire as a medium.
Edward was concerned that the
wings would have to be formed
showing individual feathers this
proved not to be necessary.
