This sculpture of a 'black faced
Scotty' is based on one of the sheep
that graze on Dartmoor.

I measured the ram to build it to the
correct size. These sheep being a
highland breed are surprisingly small
and skinny. The wool always seems
to hang in matted strands. The
method I utilised shows off the coat
to my best ability.

While working on the sculpture an
image of two ram's butting each other
came to mind. A future sculpture I

I hope that my reputation has been
left intact. It is not good to be
observed studying the anatomy of a
ram while holding a tape measure!
Mmm enough said.
